20- Folkölsturen Special Edition

About 3 weeks ago Robert Lagerström, a journalist, contacted me and asked if I would like to drive my guided motorcycle tour #folkölsturen together with him. He wanted to write a story about the Special Edition Tours concept I created with Folkölsturen to be published in magazine’s when the concept is pretty odd, interesting and really nice if you like motorcycles and beer.

Last year I did this tour twice for my motorcycle group Liljedahls Backyard Motorcycle Tours, people liked it a lot and I have got the question if I will do it once more. It is always nice to be able to support your friends in the beer business, a business I stopped working with in July 2020, and of course I said YES to Robert request to do a new tour of Folkölsturen.

I want to give you, as a motorcycle driver, the possibility to visit destinations along our roads with great food and drinks experiences that triggers you to want to know more about the products. To taste them when you safely parked the bike for the day if they contain alcohol. And if not of course taste them directly. Like sourdough bread, ice cream or cheese ….or other delicious things that are offered to you at the destination.

For me it is a part of life that brings me good quality into my living when I experience and learn more of how food & drinks products are made and to taste them. To be able to share that with other motorcycle drivers that also loves to explore food & drinks along the roads is awesome. That’s why I create different concept to drive and Folkölsturen is the first but surely not the last concept I will create to go for food & drinks adventure at the tours we drive in my motorcycle group.

We have many great people that creates incredible products, experiences and destinations for the rest of us to explore and enjoy along the roads. They show and learn us all about what they know best. And this day we got the possibility to learn more of how to brew beer and buy beer, Folkbeer, with us home to taste it when the motorcycle is parked for the day, I just love it!

We visited 4 breweries on this tour; Dugges Bryggeri, AKiA Brygghus, Odd Island Brewing, BarlindBeer and we drove for about 100 km around in the area of Gothenburg.

I will not write any more about this day since I’m looking forward to read all about it in Roberts news report for the magazine’s. And look at the beautiful photos that his colleague, the photographer, Christer Olofsson took during the day when he wasn’t at his motorcycle driving along with us.

Now it is time for us to patiently wait for the release for #folkölsturen in the magazines Maltesen and Allt om MC. I hope that the good vibes we had yesterday will be felt in the magazines, because we had really nice day!

A day to remember with easily carried knowledge of how beer is produced! Life is good isn’t it? As it should be!
